Heyward Financial Group is led by a mission-driven financial professional with deep expertise in nonprofit and governmental accounting. As a certified Financial Management Accounting Associate (FMAA) through the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), I bring a specialized focus on accountability, compliance, and strategic financial leadership.

I hold a Certificate in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, and a Professional Certificate in Small Business and Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Phoenix.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Accountancy at Northern Illinois University, with an expected graduation in 2026. Over the course of my career, I have successfully managed over $4 million in local, state, and federal grant funding—ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting mission-aligned outcomes for nonprofit organizations.
